Time & Location
About the Event
Intro to Carbine is for the new rifle owner or those interested in learning to shoot modern AR-15 style rifles.
This course provides the student with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to safely handle, load, fire and unload common types of rifles. Time is spent both in the classroom and on the range in a comfortable learning environment. Students are guided through rifle manipulation drills and range exercises designed to increase their comfort level and develop a solid skill base with the modern rifle.
Required: Additional magazines where appropriate, a way to carry those magazines on self either belt mounted or chest
* If your rifle does not have a detacthbale magazine, you are welsome to attend- the emergency reload portion of the class will be virtually impossible to practice.
Approx 300 rounds rifle ammunition to be used in indoor shoothouse environment, appropriate footwear, eye and ear protection
Recommended: rifle sling
NOTE:- If you have a brand new rifle, you are welcome to attend- HOWEVER, it needs to be cleaned of packing grease etc. Secondly, if you're rifle continually fails to function, you may be dropped from the course. The instructor can not continually interrupt the class to deal with an overly malfunctioning rifle. We see this often with lower cost rifles. Malfunctions, happen- we understand that. And you will learn how to mitigate them. But overly excessive malfunctions interrupt the class too much if the gunsmith cant fix them during the class.
All students will be required to wear a face mask.
