About the Event

Jeff Cooper, the legendary founder of Gunsite Academy, is credited with saying, “Owning a handgun doesn’t make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician.” This class is meant to address that issue by providing some of the basic knowledge and skills that will contribute to your being effectively armed.

This course will consist of 1-2 hours of classroom material, and remaining time will consist of simulator and live-fire range time. The class is nominally five hours in length, but sometimes runs a bit longer, based on student questions.
