WOMEN'S FUNDAMENTALS OF SHOOTING & SELF DEFENSE

CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED TO 12 STUDENTS.

The fundamentals of shooting will be introduced, reviewed, and built upon, while also exploring universal safety rules, situational awareness, common types of handguns, ammunition types, marksmanship skills, advanced firearms handling, defensive pistol fundamentals, and the use of deadly force.  Specifically, Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals is all about sharing the basics – along with the fun, the seriousness, and the importance of being a responsibly armed female. 

This course goes through all 3 modules of this USCCA curriculum (Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced). The course consists of classroom, some simulator and for those that already have a permit will conclude with live fire including the "Proof of Live Fire" for those looking to upgrade their permit.

For those students that do not currently have a permit, if you are a Putnam County resident, you will meet the criteria to be able to apply for a pistol permit. (You just will not be able to participate in the final live portion of the class if you don't already have a permit.  You are welcome to observe, however.)

In summary, this class is open to ALL women.  All students will participate in the classroom and simulator portion.  Only those students that posses a NYS pistol permit will be able to complete the live fire refresher at the conclusion of the class.
