About the Event
This is a United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) class. It is a class for women designed by a woman and taught by a woman. Lets face it women think and learn differently then men. That's not to say a man can not effectively teach a woman but sometimes a woman will just be more comfortable being taught by another women and training with women.
Created by USCCA Editor and Training Counselor, Beth Alcazar, this class is designed to reach students who are brand new to firearms (and maybe have never picked up a gun before) through those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting and take the next step with their firearms skills, tools and mindset.
If you have been putting off taking a class because you are uncomfortable with a gun, don't want to look silly or don't think you know enough for a class then this is the class for you. NO prior knowledge required. This is a beginners class. You can ask any question and there will be no judgment!
There will be simulator based scenarios for practical experience. NO LIVE FIRE.
The fundamentals of shooting will be introduced, reviewed, and built upon, while also exploring universal safety rules, situational awareness, common types of handguns, ammunition types, marksmanship skills, advanced firearms handling, defensive pistol fundamentals, and the use of deadly force. Specifically, Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals is all about sharing the basics – along with the fun, the seriousness, and the importance of being a responsibly armed female.
