Youth First Shots Program with Live Fire

This five week series is designed for 12-20 year olds who have little to know experience with firearms and complies with all New York State regulations. The program will meet 5 Saturdays starting March 9 and continue and conclude on April 6. Each session will be from 8am-10am. Each week is a different series of topics. Here is the framework: Week 1 General Firearm Safety and Firearm Basics. Week 2 Stance, Grip, Sight Picture, Conflict Avoidance and Simulator Use. Week 3 Active Shooter Awareness and Bleeding Control/First Aid. Week 4 First Shots Rifle. Week 5 First Shots Pistol. (NOTE: NEW YORK LAW PROHIBITS 12 AND 13 YEAR OLDS FROM USING A HAND GUN SO A SUITABLE ALTERNATIVE WILL BE SUBSTITUTED. We will make that determination during the course of the program.) Class Minimum: 12. Class Maximum 16. Cost includes all necessary equipment and ammunition used in the course.
